New Class: Stretching Your Sketching Skills

Upcoming Class:

I am happy to announce that I will be offering a new sketching class in February. Anne and Will of ACME Art are making it possible for me to teach at their wonderful studio in Mokelumne Hill. The class is titled Stretching Your Sketching Skills and is being offered on Friday February 26th from 10-12. The cost is $30. Please sign up with me directly if you can and I will provide you with a PDF of the class description, activities, and minimal materials needed.

The class will focus on setting up a simple still life (or two!) and is aimed at people who maybe haven't sketched in awhile and would like to get back into the swing of things. Newbie sketchers are encouraged as well. The class will focus on what a still life is, ideas for setting up simple arrangements, and identifying basic shapes in order to sketch more simply. The idea is to sketch in the company of others who share your same enthusiasm for this fun pastime. The class involves some very basic materials-sketch book or pad of paper, pencil, pen and markers or crayons. Easy peasy!

Please take a moment to look at ACME Arts's website here.  Here is a description of the class from their newsletter.

NEW!  Friday, February 26th - Stretching Your Sketching Skills with Libby Fife.
This two-hour introductory class is designed with the beginning to intermediate sketcher in mind and will build upon any previous experience. Never sketched before, but have an interest?  This is the perfect starting class.

There are many other classes being offered as well. The studio is a wonderful new arts resource in our community. Please consider joining me for a fun morning.

Your outline sounds perfect and will lead to them wanting MORE!

    1. Thanks for the vote of confidence, Julie! Setting up the class was really enlightening for me. The still life genre is new to me but I tend to think of organizing and composing as something that crosses all genres. So, I am hoping for good things. We will see!

Thanks again for the visit-I appreciate it.

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it! I reply back in an email if you are signed in and I can see your address. Otherwise I will post the reply here under your comment. I tend to cut and paste my emails too so that others can experience the back and forth which I think is integral to blogging.
