Helpful Blog Posts: Process, Materials and Creative Findings

When I began painting, I had almost no information. I was eager to get my hands on anything that I could that would tell me how to paint, what to paint, what materials to use and how to achieve a "certain style". Over the past seven years I have written a lot about the things that I have learned. The posts could be about my materials, or a new process, or other various personal discoveries. I very often gain insights into my own creativity and I love to share that with others. It's the sort of stuff that I wanted to read about when I was first learning and it is still the kind of information that stimulates my creative processes now.

I tend to write about design and composition, color in particular, and the many things that inspire me to make my pieces. I hope sincerely that what I write will be of use. Please feel free to bookmark the articles. If you can use the information in some way or even just found it to be helpful, please let me know. I would love to hear from you!

Thank you for taking the time to comment. I appreciate it! I reply back in an email if you are signed in and I can see your address. Otherwise I will post the reply here under your comment. I tend to cut and paste my emails too so that others can experience the back and forth which I think is integral to blogging.
