I can't remember if I took the sand paper to these because I was unhappy but I remember that I really loved the effect once I did it.

I hope your piece that you are working on is progressing well. And also hoping you might be posting some work. I am always interested:)

Thanks for your visit! Hope you are well.
LibbyLibby Fifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13532162740012986996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2899715599676824140.post-2804055080380567792017-08-27T13:33:18.777-07:002017-08-27T13:33:18.777-07:00Thanks Julie! I can remember some of the feelings I had about that landscape at that point and it's good to know that I still have the same ideas today. And I like the disappearing/reappearing edges too. It's a very appealing (and useful) effect.

Hope all is well with you. Thank you as always for your observations.
LibbyLibby Fifehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13532162740012986996noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2899715599676824140.post-10834321856127592702017-08-27T13:30:25.938-07:002017-08-27T13:30:25.938-07:00Thanks Debbie! I have always liked these a lot. something about the vagueness of the figure and the landscape really appeals to me. Not sure if I will do more but we will see:)

Hope your weekend has been good. Another side of your talent. I enjoy learning more about your depth of thought. Ironically, I took a metal edge spatula to a work in progress today to blur the lines and spread the paint colors. I have much more work to do for it to make any progress towards completion, but it sure felt good! This is great timing for me to see these older works of yours. Thank you for sharing them.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03386488617374144819noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2899715599676824140.post-53597466920403551472017-08-26T16:51:45.883-07:002017-08-26T16:51:45.883-07:00I sure do remember them and am thrilled to see the...I sure do remember them and am thrilled to see them again.
They are in the same concept as what I like with fracturing. The push and pull. In and out. The disappearing and appearing. Not a hard edge to be seen. VERY atmospheric.
Happy to know you still like them.
juliefordoliver.blogspot.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07186754679744000743noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2899715599676824140.post-23164238379424545252017-08-26T09:41:09.728-07:002017-08-26T09:41:09.728-07:00Whoops meant theme! :)!!Whoops meant theme! :)!!Debbie Nolanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11168646638438558551noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2899715599676824140.post-23790698117426745452017-08-26T09:40:05.935-07:002017-08-26T09:40:05.935-07:00Dear Libby I was not following you then - so these...Dear Libby I was not following you then - so these are new to me.
